The holiday house stands on the border of the forests, where it is wonderful to walk and to enjoy the breathtaking views. If you walk back to the main road, turn right and you can walk to the top of the Radhošť (7 km);. It is a renowned tourist area with Wallachian houses, built in the local architectural style. There are restaurants and excellent panoramas. Walk over the ridge and admire the statue of the god Radegast. Take the metalled road to the village of Trojanovice (5 km) and from there go up again by chair-lift. At 12 km from the holiday home lies the tourist town of Rožnov with its beautiful and cosy town square with many shops. But the main point of attraction in Rožnov is the Open Air Museum, where on three locations can be seen how the inhabitants of this area used to live and work in the past. All houses and workshops are completely intact. Each weekend has exhibitions of old crafts and folklore shows with dancers and singers in local costume. If you want to know more about Czech culture and traditions, a visit to Rožnov is a must. Lovers of golf cannot miss out on the 9-holes golf-course close to Rožnov (6 km).The holiday home is an excellent starting point for an excursion to the neighbouring country of Slovakia. It is after all only 14 km to the border. The Tatra mountains have plenty of natural beauty and it is merely fun to explore the differences between the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In any case, food is still cheaper there than in the Czech Republic.
