Around the house lies a big garden with a jungle gym and a swing. There is also a large covered terrace in the garden equipped with tables and benches. This terrace with a fireplace and grill is open to the other guests as well. – You can reach the center of Rokytnice within 10 minutes on foot. The town offers all kinds of holiday facilities, from bowling alley to sauna, bars to restaurants, groceries to fashion boutiques, and banks to souvenir shops. St. Michael’s Church and the splendid Town Hall are definitely worth seeing. Horní náměstí (The Upper Place) serves as a recreational center and has the largest ski resort in the Giant Mountains. Here you will find shops, restaurants and other services. – Near Rokytnice you can find an old mountain house situated at the height of 1,140 meters as well as the 50 meter high Hute Waterfalls. – The popularity of the Giant Mountains can be explained by the exceptional beauty of its nature which includes a multitude of pine forests. There is a 40 km long tourist path which follows the entire length of the mountain range. The area boasts of a dense network of hiking routes. Chair lifts bridge considerable height differences in the landscape. – Among places of interest and tourist sights there is Harrachov (16 km) with a glass museum, a historical cog railway and an indoor sports facility. Spindlerův Mlýn (40 km) has a 7 km long luge run that is used in the summer for instructional purposes. It is the only one in the Czech Republic and one of the best in Europe. - In Vrchlabí (the High Elbe; 26 km) there are fine traditional wooden country houses and particularly interesting examples of baroque architecture. Liberec (45 km) is one of the largest cities in Northern Bohemia with old wooden houses dating from the 17th century, St. Antonius Church and the City Hall that is reminiscent of the one in Vienna. There is also an aqua park. – If you have no desire to cook, you can enjoy a hearty and inexpensive meal at one of the many fine restaurants, the closest one being just 100 meters from your apartment.
