There are many opportunities for walkers, cyclists, anglers and for everyone who loves nature. For example near Hulshorst, one of the four hearts of Nunspeet, is the ‘Hulshorsterzand’. This is one of the largest areas of drift sand in Europe. Here the sand is still alive! Or pay a visit to Nunspeet’s ‘Kijktuinen’ (gardens). The two hectare ‘Kijktuinen’ can be found between the Veluwse Bos and the old Zuiderzeestraatweg. But there are also many opportunities to cycle from Nunspeet. You can choose from short tours of about 20km, day tours of about 30 – 60 km or even tour to the Veluwse grave mounds around Nunspeet. The area around Nunspeet is very suitable to be explored by way of walking and many walking routes have been set out for you there. There is enough splashy entertainment at the Veluwe too: swimming, surfing, sailing, fishing, diving; it is all possible at the Veluwse Randmeren or in one of the recreation areas. Other entertainment parks in the area are: Dolfinarium in Harderwijk, Apenheul in Apeldoorn or Walibi World in Biddinghuizen.
