Sport & Leisure
In this part of the Adriatic you will find the Zadar Riviera. There are numerous islands which are accessible by organized boat trips. On hot days the pebble beach of Kozino offers enough shade thanks to the surrounding forest. It is recommended to wear swim shoes because of the sea urchins and the rocky ground. In the area of Zadar there are three national parks, mountains, waterfalls, an island group and two nature parks. All of them are worthwhile! In the historical city of Zadar there are many churches and historical buildings. The sea, beaches, boulevard, rich culture and heritage of all kinds, restaurants and summer events make Zadar a popular holiday resort. On the boulevard of Zadar you can listen to music of a ‘marine organ' 'played' by the waves. Suggestions for day trips include the old royal city of Nin, with the smallest cathedral in the world, and the island of Pag, with beautiful beaches and local sheep cheese.
