The holiday complex is situated about 2 km from the magnificent harbor city of Cefalù, halfway between Palermo and Messina. This unique small town is one of the most beautiful tourist resorts of Sicily. The city is perhaps best known for its magnificent Norman cathedral which dates from 1113. The cathedral is located at the bottom of an impressive limestone cliff which dominates the bay of Cefalù. In the city you can visit historical monuments, museums and interesting buildings such as the medieval 'Palazzo Maria` or Garibaldi Square with its Church of SS. Maria della Catena (its bell tower dates from the year 1800). Despite the many tourists, Cefalù has retained its original character. This is evidenced by the many historic buildings and churches as well as the many small streets and alleys where you will find quaint shops and wonderful restaurants with views. Cefalù has a railway station from where you can access the capital of Palermo in less than an hour. Even the surroundings of Cefalù are well worth a visit. We recommend the nature park of the Madonie where you can ride, hike or walk. Additional possibilities include the pilgrimage chapel of Gibilmanna with its museum and the palace of La Rocca.
