Located on thirty spacious beachfront acres on the beautiful island of Nevis, Nisbet Plantation Beach Club was originally built as a sugar plantation in 1778. Despite the property's size, there are still only thirty six elegantly appointed guest rooms to provide an unparalleled sense of privacy and freedom.

There is so much to see and do on the Island of Nevis and many of our guests prefer to stay close to the resort and soak up its incredibly relaxing atmosphere. This is a quiet beach community away from the maddening crowd, where the buzzing of jet skis is never heard.

To make life a little interesting, there are a number of fun things to do at the resort - from snorkeling and sunbathing to tennis and croquet island style.

There is a fitness centre with state of the art Cybex equipment for cardiovascular and strength training, so don't forget your gym clothes.

For a wonderfully relaxing massage, there is The Palms, a new spa treatment room.

Guests are invited to wager on crab races. Proceeds are matched by Nisbet Plantation and go to the local school to purchase new computers. (All the crabs are, of course, returned unharmed to the wild.)

And on Thursday evenings, join the managers, Bev & Wally Plachta's Rum Punch Party. Afterwards, relax under the stars next to the pool. The team of chefs will grill shrimps, grouper, blue marlin, mahi mahi, steak, and more, right before your eyes. Throughout the evening you'll be entertained by the rhythms of a local West Indian band.

Directions

The easiest route is to fly direct to St. Kitts and then the ferry to Nevis which takes about 30 minutes or by light aircraft via the neighbouring islands. St Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua and St. Croix are convenient transit points. Air charter can be arranged to meet flights at these airports.

American/American Eagle via San Juan/St. Kitts has several daily flights serving most cities in the USA. British Airways, Virgin, BWIA, American, Air Canada, Continental and Lufthansa fly directly to Antigua. US Airways & Continental serve nearby St. Maarten.

US Airways has direct service from Philadelphia to St. Kitts every Saturday. The service offers connections from Albany, Hartford, Boston, Baltimore, Burlington, Buffalo, Washington DC, Norfolk, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Montreal and Toronto.
