The town of Amposta is located in the southern part of Catalonia, 6 km from the Costa Dorada, where you can lay in the Spanish sun and enjoy the sea and the beach. The Ebro Delta, in the Amposta, has much to offer including large paddy fields, low-flying flamingos and extensive forests. The many hiking and bike trails lead to the most beautiful spots of this natural area. Not far from the Ebro Valley is the Montsià Mountains, where you have a magnificent view of the Ebro Valley. The top of the Montsià Mountains are characterized by hollow rocks called Foradada Roca. Cities such as Barcelona and Valencia are just two hours away and are worth a visit. While in Barcelona visit the Sagrada Familia, the unfinished cathedral by master Gaudí, or have something to drink on the Ramblas Boulevard. Valencia is characterized by many Gothic buildings, such as 'Iglesia de los Santos Juanes' and the 'Mercado Central'.
