This is a newly-built (2006), modern-furnished bungalow on the outskirts of the small, quiet village of Měňany, which lies in the immediate vicinity of a golf course, Karlstejn Castle and the caves of Koněpruských jeskyní.

This is a newly-built (2006), modern-furnished bungalow on the outskirts of the small, quiet village of Měňany, which lies in the immediate vicinity of a golf course, Karlstejn Castle and the caves of Koněpruských jeskyní. It is part of the nature reserve 'of the Czech karst'. Prague is just 40 km away. -- The bungalow is surrounded by a garden which has a private swimming pool (3 x 4 x 1.2 m), a sandbox and a swing for the children. There is a terrace with furniture and a barbecue. Cars can be parked within an enclosed area. This is a very comfortable accommodation for up to 8 persons. It is ideal for enjoying an active or relaxed holiday.

The bungalow is tastefully decorated in the Danish style. -- The accommodation is equipped with an alarm system- you will receive your own unique code upon arrival. The accommodation has a large living room, a dining area and a kitchen. There are two bedrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs), a bathroom and toilet. -- In the sitting area is a modern wood-burning stove (wood is available), stereo system, satellite TV and DVD player. -- The modern kitchen has a ceramic course of cooking utensils, electric oven, microwave, coffeemaker, kettle, dishwasher and refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment. -- The bottom bedroom has a double bed; the other has two single beds. A cot or a high chair for children can be added. -- In the bathroom there is a shower with smaller tub for bathing small children, a wash basin, table, chest of drawers and a washing machine. The 80-liter boiler is heated day and night. -- The spacious bedroom is open to the living room and is equipped with four single beds. -- The house is electrically heated, but has the possibility to have additional heat from the wood-burning stove in the living room (which can also warm the bedroom above).

The swimming pool in the garden can be used from June to August. -- There are (clay) tennis courts located 300 meters away. -- Only 2 km away from home is the beautiful 18-hole golf course of Karlštejn, with the famous castle in the background. Characterization: 'a bogey is easy, but a birdie is difficult'. -- In the bustling cities of Kladno and Slaný there are modern aqua parks. -- The nature area of the "Czech Karst" is incomparably beautiful with chalk rock formations and interesting flora and fauna. The Koněpruské jeskyně cave system, 2 km away, is a three-storied cave where the archaeological excavations of a medieval secret counterfeit mint can be seen. The Small and Large America quarries are equipped with educational hiking routes, and the "Křivoklátsko" nature reserve offers a varied forest and the magnificent valley of Berounka. -- In the region you will find the royal estate with the jails of Žebrák, Točník, Křivoklát (torture chamber) and Karlštejn (1348). The last two are jewels of the Czech, Gothic architecture. -- There are many manor houses and small palaces which are worth a visit because of their interiors, gardens or parks: the manor house of Hořovice, the Dobříš Castle (rococo-style garden, park, motorcycle exhibition, Vysoká u Příbrami [museum dedicated to the composer Antonin Dvorak]), Lány (summer residence of the President, garden and chapel). - Other interesting sights include: the Mine Museum in Pribram (with mine railway located in a 1600 m deep corridor), Svatá Hora (Holy Mountain), and the Railway Museum Lužná u Rakovníka, the largest in the Czech Republic with steam locomotives, passenger and freight cars and miniature railways. - A trip to the capital city of Prague should not be missed either!
