Almendricos is a small Spanish village with many restaurants and supermarkets. There is also an open-air nightclub (open only during the summer season, on Wednesday evening) - an adventure for young and old. Beaches are only a half hour drive from Casa Oasis. The beach and the boulevard of San Juan is especially very beautiful. San Juan has not yet been over-run by mass tourism so you still experience the real Spanish atmosphere. The beach is not steep and so suitable for small children. A visit (by train) to the beaches of Aguilas is highly recommended. There is also a diving school where you can explore the underwater world of the Mediterranean. Garrucha is a water paradise. Are you more of a nature lover? Then here there is the possibility for mounting biking on magnificent trails. There is alos the possibility to go to the nature areas of La Jara, 10 km away; the Sierra Espuña, 40 km away or the Sierra de Maria, 35 km away. In the last mentioned area there are three caves you can visit. You will also find several beautiful, marked trails in the above-mentioned natural areas. Golf enthusiasts can hone their skills at the golf courses of Turre, Mojacar, Los Gallardos or Cuebas del Almanzora. This region offers opportunities for sailing, para-sailing, horseback riding, quad riding and mountain sports. And finally, there is also plenty to do for history and culture lovers with lots of historic buildings and museums. Or on a visit to Lorca, Alhama, Murcia or some of the smaller cities such as the mountain village of Mojacar, why not do a little souvenir shopping.
