Rome is the capital of Italy and at the same time the capital of the Lazio region. Rome, the "Eternal City" was originally built on seven hills and is divided by the Tiber River. You can also get information regarding many events in Rome. From the park the train station is just 5 minutes walk away, and from here it is just ten minutes to the center of Rome. There is also a shopping center with a large supermarket and a bank nearby. In this area (on the left bank of the Tiber River) you will find the beginning of a fantastic bicycle path. From here you can travel by bike passed the historic Ponte Milvio and Olympic stadium to the center of Rome and the door of Vatican City. You can rent a bicycle at the information center.
