There is a full time housekeeper who is assisted by the maid. The house is cleaned daily and clean sheets and towels are available as required. Breakfast is included in the rental price and lunch or dinner can be arranged with the housekeeper. Fatiha is the most fantastic cook and her traditional Moroccan food far surpasses any restaurant. This is a unique opportunity to taste the real flavours of fresh and seasonal Moroccan dishes. Fatiha will be happy to do any laundry that may be necessary, shop for specific foods, accommodate any dietary requirements, cook for children, babysit, arrange a party on the roof with traditional musicians, organize for a massage at the house……Just ask and she will do her very best.

To help Fatiha and Nadia is our houseman. He will collect you from the airport and pay for your transfer, as Dirhams are not available outside Morocco (you will need to settle up with him once he shows you where the banks are). He serves all meals taken in the house including breakfast and can buy wine or beer on your behalf to be consumed within the house. He can organize taxis to be waiting for you when they are required, arrange excursions, light you a fire on chilly evenings, find wrapping for all the shopping you will want to take home……once again you only need to ask.

The pool is cleaned regularly and checked weekly by the pool man.

A cot can be provided as can an additional child’s bed if necessary

The open courtyard at the centre of the house is home to the swimming pool, heated during the cooler months and providing essential relief when the temperatures rise during the summer. There is a dining table and chairs for four at this level. Planted with banana trees and palms this will be a wonderfully cool sitting area.

The roof terrace provides the majority of the outside space at Riad Du Ciel, with a dining table for eight and beds for sunbathing, there is also an open-air shower. Planted with orange trees, lemon trees and bougainvillea, the garden is in its infancy, but will soon provide a green oasis among the rooftops. The view from the terrace includes the Kasbah Mosque, Koutoubia Mosque, El Badii Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the King’s Palace, as well as a stunning view of the Atlas Mountains.

There are no parking facilities at the house, but this is not a city where you would need a car. If you wish to drive out into the country it is better to hire a car for the period you will need it.
