Property Description

It is built on a plot of land of 4,800 square metres, which has its own 70 metre beach and a dock suitable for accommodating speedboats or yachts. The land has 120 olive trees, which produce a significant amount of different varieties of olives and/or olive oil.

Local Information

Mitzela, renamed to “Amaliapolis” after the visit of Queen Amalia in the mid 19th Century is a seaside village whose main source of income is fishing and olive oil production.
Strolling along the main seaside promenade, visitors can enjoy the traditional architecture of the place along with a number of “tavernas” serving delicious Greek food and fresh fish, bars open till early morning hours and cafeterias. Local amenities include two supermarkets, two bakeries, greengrocer, gift-shop, basketball, beach-volley and five-aside football courts. If required at any time, car and boat rentals can be arranged in the near-by city, Volos, which is 30 minutes drive from Mitzela.

Being in the very centre of Greece, the village has very easy access to a number of places of interest. Some of them are:
Mount Pelion, with its picturesque villages and famous ski resorts is only 45 minutes drive from Mitzela

Meteora, the high rocks with their Byzantie monasteries on the top are only 1½ hours drive from the village.

Skiathos Island, combining some of the most famous beaches in the world, with very cosmopolitan night life, can be accessed directly from the village by a 2 hours boat ride.

The sea is no more than a thirty metre walk from the main building across beautiful gardens with palm trees, olive trees and fruit trees as well as flowers.

The sea is ideal for swimming, sea sports, fishing, scuba diving and snorkelling. The sea bottom is of exceptional interest due to the existence of ancient ruins and artefacts. The surrounding hills are ideal for hunting during the fall and winter period. The land comprises 120 olive trees which produce a significant amount of different varieties of olives and/or olive oil.

Mitzela Village is located in the beautiful Pagasitikos Gulf in eastern central continental Greece. Its distance from Athens is 280km (2½ hours) and from Thessaloniki 220km (2 hours). Major International Airports are located in both cities, in addition to Anhialos airport, which is located twenty minutes drive from the village.
