Property Description

Villa Appolonia has been built to the highest specification and in the traditional Cycladic style for which Mykonos is so famous. It is the sister villa to Delos Villa, its neighbour. The beautiful white house has ornamental Mykonian details such as dovecotes and chimneys and is rated as one of the best villas on the island. The owners have tastefully decorated the property with local arts and antiques and beautiful glass lamps from Italy.

Local Information

Anovolousa/Kanalia is a residential area with few other villas so is peaceful and tranquil. Mykonos Town, with its lively nightlife and fabulous boutiques and tavernas is only about four kilometres away. The nearest good beaches are within two kilometres and so are watersports facilities. There are a number of other beaches further afield. A car is essential for this property in order to make the most of a visit to the island. The sea is only a hundred metres from Villa Appolonia, so it is possible to walk down to this rocky coastline and there are small coves nearby.

Daily maid service. Linen and domestic towels provided and changed twice a week. You will need to bring beach and pool towels only.

There is a large terrace with a long dining table situated in a shaded area. There is also a barbecue and bar area. The pool measures 5 x 10 metres and has roman steps. There are plenty of sun loungers and patio furniture. Appolonia has stone walls built along the edges of the terraces to protect it from the wind and to provide additional privacy.

Directions

By flight to the new international airport at Athens and then either a domestic flight to Mykonos or taxi from the new airport to Piraeus and then by ferry to the island. There are also ferries from the port at Rafina and again this would require a taxi from the new airport to the harbour and then ferry to the island.

The flight from Athens to Mykonos takes about forty five minutes, and the ferry, if the Hi-Speed catamaran, takes about 3½ hours from Piraeus and about the same time from Rafina.

There are also direct charter flights into Mykonos and either way, clients will normally be met at the airport or the harbour and taken to the property.
