Property Description

A delightful, recently completed and luxuriously finished property situated below MONTGOMERY HOUSE and in a very private and secluded position. This is a really lovely house, very unusual in design and layout and decorated and furnished to a very high standard by the owners.

Both THE SUGAR MILL and MONTGOMERY HOUSE can be rented together to provide accommodation for up to fourteen people, with a 10% discount on the total cost.

Local Information

Sugar Mill together with Montgomery House is the last house on the Arnos Vale Crown Trace. The houses are on a bluff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. They are about 150 feet above sea level and there is a trail to the beach. The nearest hotel is the Arnos Vale Hotel about 1/4 mile away. Plymouth the local town, but village is a better word is two kilometres away. There are lots of restaurants within a five mile radius. The local supermarket is about two kilometres away. Scarborough the capital has two petrol stations. Local sports are Goat Racing, Crab Racing, and Kite Flying.

Nearby activities include: Golf at Mount Irvine championship golf course ten kilometres away. Watersports, sailing, scuba diving, tennis courts at Turtle Beach Hotel, about three kilometres away. Horseriding at Mount Irvine Hotel, about sixteen kilometres away. Squash at Grafton Hotel, about eight kilometres away. Deep sea fishing, walking, hiking, bird watching all available on the island.

Wonderful staff (shared with Montgomery House). The property is cleaned daily. The caretaker cleans the pool and does the garden. The housekeeper Marilia comes daily. Sheets are changed twice a week. The cook Jean either helps Marilia or can be hired to produce wonderful tropical cuisine for the week at £90 for all meals for 6 days a week.

Babysitting can be arranged for TT$20 per hour.

The Pool and Jacuzzi are on a pool deck at the side of the house. There is a barbecue and an old fashioned outside shower, and pool furniture for relaxing. The pool deck is surrounded by soft tropical lights at night. There is parking for three cars. The pool is a plunge pool 20 feet x 15 feet, and four feet deep. The garden has mature fruit trees and coconut trees. You can walk out of two of the bedrooms onto the pool deck. Fantastic bird watching. Flora and fauna.

There is a tidal beach some 120ft down the hillside, accessed from the gardens and by a steep path through the forest. It has good snorkelling but is suitable for experienced swimmers only.

Directions

By air to Tobago's Crown Point International airport and you will then be met by Kelvin who will take you to the Sugar Mill, then enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Car hire is essential in Tobago and this can be arranged in advance for clients.
