Property Description
Six double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and impeccable service from the wonderful staff.
This lovely traditional Riad has been beautifully restored using local craftsmen with their traditional techniques, including tadelakt, the polished wall finish employed in the hammams. The plasterwork has been hand carved and the overall result is a luscious glow of vibrant, living colour throughout. The furniture was commissioned and handmade by a family of seven brothers, all carpenters. The natural pigments, textiles and fabrics are stunning and all the beds have handwoven covers made from cactus fibre. And just to finish off the whole amazing experience, the painter was a former Circus Strongman who spoke of Plato and philosphy. The staff, made up of Manager Abderrazak, cook and maid Latifa and maid Ghizlan are quite wonderful. The food is delicious, their service impeccable and Abderrazak can suggest special outings and trips and will organise everything for guests.

Local Information
Although situated in the Medina, in the centre of the vibrant and exciting city of Marrakech, Riad Magi is in very quiet location, close to restaurants, souks and ancient monuments. Marrakech is a city of immense beauty, low, red and tentlike before a great shaft of mountains and intensely exciting. In the centre of it all is the square, Djemaa El Fna, which is the stage where groups of acrobats, drummers, pipe musicians, dancers, storytellers, comedians and fairground acts meet and perform. The Souk or covered market is maze of alleyways with all manner of stalls and shops selling everything from slippers to spices. Restaurants and cafes abound and the people of Marrakech are renowned for their warmth and sociability. Visitors to this fascinating city are made to feel very welcome. The city's architectural attractions are compelling, the beautiful Agdal and Menara gardens, the delicate carving of the Saadian tombs and above all the Koutoubia Minaret. There is life and activity in this city and its beauty and attraction lie in the general atmosphere and spectacular location, with the magnificent peaks of the Atlas rising right up behind the city, hazy in the heat of the summer and shimmering white with the winter snow.
