Directions

By plane:
Holbox Island has a small airport where you can land by private plane, or a rented one. The approximated time from Cancun is 35 minutes and costs $400 per way in a private Cessna which can carry a maximum of four people.

By boat:
The usual way to arrive to the island is by boat from Chiquila. There is a regular-line boat that crosses the twelve kilometres separating Chiquila and Holbox (it takes between fifteen and twenty minutes). Chiquila is two and a half hours driving from Cancun and about four hours from Merida. Organised Transfer from Cancun to Xaloc - $65 per person per way includes: Ground Transportation from Chiquila with A/C vehicle, boat from Chiquila to island, Taxi to hotel - all taxes are included. Minimum two persons.
