The cottage is part of the 19th-century country estate Szabad Föld (The Open Field). Jancsi has its own veranda looking out on open fields and woods. The estate has a tennis-court, a swimming-pool as well as a swimming pond, possibilities for playing jeu-de-boules and table tennis. Szabad Föld lies in a village known as one of the most colourful villages of Hungary. The region offers the choice of visiting characteristic cities, exploring the Puszta (steppes) or enjoying a show of horsemanship. Szabad Föld's immediate vicinity is suitable for riding on horse-back, swimming in thermal springs, canoeing, hiking and cycling.

The cottage is fully furnished and has a completely equipped kitchen, a bathroom with washing-machine, toilet, living- and dining-room and one large bedrooms. The bedroom has a double bed and two single sleeping cauches You have the disposal of your own table and chairs in your veranda. There's a little garden at the front of the cottage. The cottage is cleaned twice a week. We take care of your towels, kitchen-towels and bed-clothes. On arrival a welcoming basket awaits you with milk, bread and wine to celebrate your arrival.

Thanks to the estate's central position you find yourself at a mere 68 km of Budapest, less than 20 km of Kecskemét and at 7 km of Cegléd and Nagykörös. This offers a plethora of possibilities for excursions. Explore the surroundings by tilt-car, visit the tradional national park of Bugac Puszta or enjoy a show of horsemanship in Lajosmizse. The museum in the fort at Eger shows how the Hungarians checked the progess of the invading Turks. Visit Budapest and enjoy a medicinal bath in one of the old Turkish baths. Go on a shopping spree in Kecskemét, a town on the border of the puszta. Enjoy the Hungarian kitchen, tasty and nevertheless cheap. We hope to welcome you on Szabad Föld soon.
