On the seaside, 80 km from Utrecht, lies the town of 's Gravenzande. During the summer months a recreational team, which offers an entertaining program for guests, is present. There's also a festivity week in 's Gravenzande; Harbour days in Hoek van Holland (the so-called Hoekse Havendagen); and even a sailing vegetable & flower parade. This area is excellent for cycling tours and long hikes. Bikes can be rented at the park (€ 4 per day). A day trip to the miniature city of Madurodam in Den Haag or a trip with a tour boat from the port of Rotterdam are really worthwhile. Party-lovers shouldn't miss out on the summer carnival in Rotterdam. And of course there's always the beautiful beach!
