How do I fill in my property details ?
Once you have registered, you will receive a username and password via the email address you have registered with us. Use these to log into the administration area and follow the guidelines provided, or click on any of the corresponding help icons for information on how to carry out any given task. You can send us an email at any time if you are still not sure about what to do or how to complete any of the fields.
Why do you not provide any phone number to contact you ?
Two reasons. First of all, to keep the prices low, we offer email support only, which makes it a lot more efficient to deal with any queries. Secondly, due to the multi-linguality of the site and the inevitable enquiries from different locations and countries, we operate de-centralised offices. Our support team is not located in any particular location but in different cities, countries and time zones, making it impractical to offer telephone support.
Why is it so much cheaper than other services ?
The site has been designed to enable advertisers to display and edit property details in the most flexible way possible, whilst being easy and straightforward to operate. This has the dual benefit of giving you full control over your advertisement whilst enabling us to keep our costs low which is reflected in our prices.
Will you upload my advertisement / pictures for me ?
To keep the service from becoming too expensive, we are normally not able to upload the information of your property for you. If you should have problems using the facilities provided, you can usually find the answers by clicking on the corresponding help icon. If you still have questions, send us an email through the facility provided, or contact us by emailing support@better-holidays.com.
How can I pay for my advertising ?
We accept all major credit and debit cards.
Can I cancel my subscription ?
Of course. You can cancel your subscription at any time. However, we are not able to refund any monies you have already paid. If you are not sure whether this service is for you, we suggest you subscribe for our free trial period and see how you get on.
How do I receive booking enquiries ?
Visitors to the site who are interested in booking your property can contact you via telephone, fax or e-mail, depending on your preferences. Any of your booking enquiries are also available to view from within your administration area, from where you can also reply directly to any enquiry.
Can you take bookings for me ?
No. Our experience shows that most people prefer direct contact with the advertiser of the property in order to clarify any queries they might have which have not been addressed in the advertisement, prior to making a firm booking. Our site is designed to give you the flexibility you need whilst making it easy for visitors to make a decision.
Can I be sure I am receiving all my booking enquiries ?
Unfortunately you can never be 100% sure. However, there are steps you can take to avoid any lost enquiries.
- check regularly online in your administration area to see whether you have received any new enquiries
- ensure that your spam-filter (if applicable) accepts emails from better-holidays.com
- subscribe to the text(SMS) Alert option, which will send an SMS notification of any enquiry you receive to a telephone number of your choice
- if you would like to have emails from our site sent to a different email address so as to keep your current email account settings unaltered, set up another dedicated email account for receiving emails from us and update your preferences in your administration area.
We have taken great care to make sure that the emails you receive from us are not mistakenly being marked as spam, however we are not able to guarantee that this may not happen. If you should still have any problems with emails you receive from us,

How long does it take to have my advert live on the site ?
Once you have registered and have logged in with your username and password you have received by email, you can add your property immediately by filling in the relevant information. To ensure that only genuine properties are displayed on the site, we ask that you request approval for any new property you have added. You are however able - at any time - to preview the property as it would appear on the site by clicking on the appropriate icon. We encourage you to do so before requesting approval as this will alert you to any potential omissions and/or oversights.
This approval process should take no more than 24 hours (and is often much shorter) and you will receive an email if the property has been approved for display. After this initial approval process, you can make the advertisement "live" by clicking on the appropriate icon in the main administration screen. Any further changes you make to your property will be applied immediately.
Making changes to advertisements.
Any changes to your approved advertisement can be made at any time and are immediately executed once you have saved those changes.
Can I have a different layouts / colours / fonts etc. for my property?
To make the navigation as easy as possible for your potential customers, the site has been created with consistency as a top priority. However, because we understand that each property is individual, you have a certain amount of control over the look of your advertisement as well as being able to attach a pdf document and provide an external internet link to the property.
